Description
This walnut crusted chicken recipe is just that. The chicken is coated in a mixture of chopped walnuts and then baked until golden brown.

2 boneless chicken breast
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 garlic cloves minced
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 cup walnuts chopped
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Place the chicken, olive oil, mustard, garlic, onion powder and dried thyme in a large zipped-top bag container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours
- In a mixing bowl combine the walnut, flour, salt, paprika and pepper
- Remove the chicken, shake off a little excess marinade and dip both sides of the chicken in the walnut mixture.
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Transfer chicken to the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
- Cut the baked chicken into slices.
- Ready to serve.
Notes
- Consider using an Air Fryer to cook the chicken, which can be faster and crispier in the end. Check your Fryer for manufacturer suggested cooking times.
- Cook the chicken thoroughly before eating it. Chicken should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 °F to ensure that any bacteria are killed and the meat is safe to eat.
