Ingredients

1/2 cup red or black currants

1/2 fresh banana

1 tsp lemon juice

1/4 cup fresh orange juice

1/2 cup milk

1/4 cup yogurt

1 tbsp honey

1 tsp sugar


Instructions

  1. Peel banana. Put it in a bowl, add lemon juice, and mash using a fork. Place the bowl in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  2. Remove stems of currants and rinse them. Pat them dry.
  3. In a blender jug, add frozen banana, orange juice, currants, milk, yogurt, honey, sugar and blend until you get a smooth texture.
  4. Pour the smoothie into an ice-filled glass.

For serving:

Serve immediately and garnish with currant clusters.

Notes

You can choose either red or black currants or a mixture of both. If you are looking for a vegan version, you can switch milk with almond or soya milk. You can increase or decrease sugar according to your liking. Lastly, make sure you serve this smoothie immediately to get the most flavor.
