Description

Get ready for a taste of summer with this perfect grilled corn recipe! It’s simple, yet absolutely delicious. Grilling the corn in its own husk allows it to steam beautifully, creating tender, juicy kernels bursting with sweet, natural flavour.


Ingredients

  • 4 fresh corn on the cob, husks on
  • Olive oil
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper


Instructions

  1. reheat your grill to medium heat.
  2. Pull the outer husks down the ear to the base without removing them. Strip away the silk from each ear of corn. Fold the husks back into place, and soak the corn in a bowl of water for about 10 minutes.
  3. Remove the corn from the water and shake off the excess. Place the corn on the grill, close the cover, and grill for 15 to 20 minutes, turning every 5 minutes, or until kernels are tender when pierced with a fork.
  4. Carefully remove the corn from the grill with tongs, allow to cool for a few minutes, and then strip back the husks and remove the silks.
  5. Drizzle each ear with a bit of olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and rub in the seasonings to spread them evenly.
  6. Serve immediately with your favourite main dish and enjoy the sweet, smoky perfection!

  • Choose fresh corn with bright green husks and golden, sticky tassels.
  • For an added burst of flavour, consider brushing the grilled corn with flavoured butter or a mix of your favourite herbs and spices.
