Description

Pork chops are a delicious and easy-to-prepare meal. When choosing pork chops, look for those that are leaner and have less fat.


Ingredients

1 cup fresh tart cherries thawed

3 tbsp honey

1 tbsp salt and pepper

1/2 cup water

1 cup sweet onion chopped

1 tbsp corn starch

4 boneless pork chops

3 tbsp olive oil


Instructions

  1. In your pan or cooker, combine salt, pepper, honey, cherries, onion, olive oil top with pork chops
  2. Close cooker lid and cook for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove pork chops to a serving dish keep warm
  4. In a small bowl mix corn starch and water until smooth stir into pressure cooker.
  5. Simmer, stirring constantly, until thickened, 2 to 3 minutes.
  6. Pour starch onto the pork chops.
  7. Ready to serve.

Notes

Trim any excess fat before cooking.

Pork chops should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) followed by a three-minute rest time

A 3-ounce serving of pork chop contains about 27 grams of protein, which is about half of the recommended daily intake for adults. Pork chops are also a good source of other nutrients, including thiamin, niacin, vitamin B6, phosphorus, and zinc.
