  • Author: Dre

Description

These muffins make a great on-the-go breakfast or snack, and they’re also perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth.  They’re packed with nutrients and fiber, and the sugar content is relatively low compared to other sweet treats. Plus, they’re delicious! If you’re looking for a healthy snack or breakfast option, I highly recommend giving fig muffins a try.

Ingredients

Units Scale

1 cup all purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp sesame oil

2 cup fig compote

2 tbsp agave nectar

1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Pre heat oven to 380 degrees f. Grease muffins tray using cooking oil
  2. In a bowl add flour, baking powder and sea salt.
  3. Add sesame oil , fig compote in the mixture
  4. Mix well and then add to the greased muffins tray.
  5. Add chopped fig on top.
  6. Bake for 13 minutes.
  7. Ready to serve.

Notes

  1. Be careful not to overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can result in tough muffins. To avoid this, mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
  2. Don’t overbake the muffins: Overbaking can dry out the muffins and make them tough. To avoid this, keep a close eye on the muffins towards the end of the baking time and remove them from the oven as soon as a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Be sure to chop the figs finely: Chopping the figs into small pieces will help them distribute evenly throughout the muffin batter. If the figs are too large, they may sink to the bottom of the muffins.
  4. Use fresh ingredients: Using fresh ingredients, such as fresh figs and baking powder that is not expired, will help ensure that the muffins turn out well.
  5. Adjust the sugar content if necessary: Figs are naturally sweet, so you may need to adjust the amount of sugar in the recipe depending on how sweet you like your muffins.
