Ingredients

– 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
– 2 tablespoons of olive oil
– 2 cloves of garlic, minced
– 1 teaspoon of chili powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon of cumin
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 8 small flour tortillas
– 1 cup of shredded lettuce
– 1/2 cup of diced tomatoes
– 1/4 cup of diced red onion
– 1/4 cup of chopped fresh cilantro
– Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, chili powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
2. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade and toss until they are evenly coated. Allow the shrimp to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are pink and cooked through.
4. Warm the flour tortillas in a separate skillet or in the oven.
5. To assemble the tacos, place a spoonful of the cooked shrimp onto each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, and chopped cilantro.
6. Serve the spicy shrimp tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.
7. Enjoy your fiery and flavorful spicy shrimp tacos!

Notes

For an extra kick of heat, add a few dashes of hot sauce or sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes on top of the assembled tacos.

Customize your toppings by adding sliced avocado, sour cream, or your favorite salsa.

To save time, you can purchase pre-cooked shrimp and simply toss them in the marinade before assembling the tacos.
