For the Salmon Burgers:
- 1 pound fresh salmon fillet
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
- Remove the skin from the salmon fillet and chop the salmon into chunks. Place the salmon chunks into a food processor and pulse until coarsely ground.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground salmon, panko, green onions, parsley, Dijon mustard, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the salmon mixture into 4 patties.
- Cook the patties on the preheated grill or skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, make the sauce by combining the mayonnaise, lemon juice, dill, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Serve the salmon burgers on buns with the sauce and your choice of toppings.
Notes
While this salmon burger recipe is perfect as it is, you can always customize it. Try adding some chopped fresh dill or a bit of lemon zest to the salmon mixture for an extra burst of flavor. If you prefer a spicy kick, a dash of cayenne pepper would work wonders!
