Notes
- Use lean ground beef: This will help to keep the dish lower in fat and calories.
- Adjust the level of spiciness: The red pepper flakes add a bit of heat to the dish, so feel free to adjust the amount to your taste. You can also add other spicy ingredients, such as diced chili peppers or chili paste, to increase the heat.
- Cook the beef thoroughly: It is important to fully cook the ground beef to ensure that it is safe to eat. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the beef has reached at least 160°F.
- Serve the beef over hot rice: To ensure that the dish is served hot and the flavors are at their best, be sure to serve the beef over hot, freshly cooked rice.
- Customize the dish with your favorite ingredients: You can add a variety of vegetables, such as bell peppers, onions, or carrots, to the pan with the beef. You can also serve the dish with additional condiments, such as kimchi or pickled ginger, on the side.
